Postcard from Al, Our Wandering Druid–
Hey Kids—I had the most excellent time at the solstice party here in Oravalo in the Ecuadorian highlands. Danced in a circle with the indians, attended the blessing of grain, honored the blessed “Pachamama Verde” Green Earth Mother. Solstice is called INTI RAYMI and is the major festival of the Inca calendar. And not a Catholic priest in sight!
