August
6th: Hands
of Change 2005 NJ Pagan Picnic:
Myth and Mirth
GOG was in charge of "fun and games" at the picnic this year,
and 32 grove members attended armed with masks, puppets, beasties, costumes,
banners, facepaints, glitter, and glamourbombs. Nej, Jen, and Patty
ran a glamourbombing workshop, Ed created a labyrinth with a minotaur,
Norma created a sideshow banner, Deb & Norma did glitter, Meryl
painted faces, Jake and Jason and Ed and Jeff and Hillary and Norma
and many others told stories in our Myth Science Theater 2005 pavilion.
GOG also led the parade to the main ritual (done with mirth by the MPA)
with our 20-foot giant, hobby horse, rag man, dragon, and hobby pig.
Thanks to Joanne for running out to get raffle tickets, thanks to all
who helped out and chipped in. Hands Of Change did a great job organizing
the picnic, and the weather was beautiful (thanks to Marc and his un-brella).
A good time was had by all..
