Joanne Siwak-Ward died Saturday, March 3rd, 2007 at Saint Peter’s Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ after a courageous six-year battle with cancer.

Joanne was born in Secaucus, raised in Iselin, and lived most of her life in South Amboy. She worked for twenty-five years as an investigator for the Middlesex County Board of Social Services.

Joanne loved the ocean. She visited the water religiously and her favorite places were the Jersey shore and the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

Joanne was an eloquent woman with a beautiful singing voice and a great affection for show tunes. She could often be found drumming, dancing, and enjoying life to the fullest. She was also a NY Yankees fan. She loved her pets and she loved her friends.

Joanne was predeceased by her father, Louis Siwak. Surviving are her loving husband of 28 years, Kevin Ward; her mother, Anne Siwak; her brother, Wayne Siwak; her aunt and uncle, Josephine and Frederick Sparano; and many, many friends. She will be greatly missed.
