May 9th 2009: GOG's Beltane MayFaire!
"A Beltane Celebration with Kali Ma and the Hindu pantheon." We had 34 for the day, 24 for the ritual, and 14 took ritual parts. Our omens, scrying bones: They spelled out LIVE. Also we were told to "eat more chicken to get more bones." The ritual was more serious than our usual Beltanes, and the invocations were consistent throughout. Marc was druid-in-charge and drew down Kali Ma. In addition, we had
all that you've come to know and love about GOG's Beltane MayFaire and more: Kirtan Chanting mini-workshop led by Cicely, Middle-Eastern Drumming workshop led by Norma, Henna, Floral Headwreath-making, Maypole frolic, Culturally Inappropriate Hobby Horse (Jen), plus the usual feasting, barbeque, merriment; a flaming birdbath, and a firepit bonfire to gather around! Thanks to Bob for kitchen-witching, and thanks for Bob, Tricia, and Patty for hosting the event.

Marc was Druid-in-Charge (with Jen as his able assistant).
We decorated our MayPole!
We made offering garlands....
We made flower headwreaths.
