20th: GOG's Summer Solstice Jersey Rest Stop Ritual!
Our oddly famous "Jersey Rest Stop Ritual" on Rt. 295
along the Delaware on the west coast of Jersey. We blew bubbles in
honor of the descending sun, performed an ADF Druid ritual, some of
us went swimming, and Pat and Maggie had us break a sun pinata at
the sunset and release the dark inside, now a grove tradition. In
response, the setting sun sent up two great cones of darkness, almost
a dark rainbow. It was one of the wierdest things I've ever seen in
the sky. We had 27 people for the ritual, and 2 onlookers, and 23
at the diner afterwards.
